Summary

Phototherapy and photochemotherapy offer treatments for over 40 skin diseases. Broadband ultraviolet B (UVB) and oral psoralen photochemotherapy (PUVA) are common, with growing interest in topical PUVA and future potential for narrow-band UVB and UVA-1 phototherapy.
