A 24-month evaluation of fissure sealing with a diluted composite material
Abstract:
The idea of pit and fissure sealing has found wide acceptance in caries prevention. The present investigation evaluates the retention of a diluted composite material (Concise Enamel Bond system) used as a pit and fissure sealant. On the basis of a clinical evaluation in 69 children of the retention of the material in pits and fissures for 24 months, it seems justified to assume that the diluted composite material is an acceptable alternative to other fissure-sealing materials.
