What research is needed to show the effectiveness of homeopathy?
1NHS Centre for Reviews and Dissemination, University of York, UK.
Abstract:
Using the similia principle, the classical homeopath tries to find a substance that fits the patients complaints as closely as possible. Unusual symptoms that do not fit the symptom complexes recognised by conventional medicine may be considered even more important than the regular symptoms. This is why homeopathy is a highly individualised treatment, resulting in different treatments for patients who would receive an identical treatment in conventional medicine.
