A global health analysis project for baccalaureate nursing students

This article describes an international nursing/global health analysis project that is completed in the U.S. classroom by baccalaureate nursing students. Project requirements, student activities, and course evaluation are described. Over a semester, student groups in the senior-level issues course use multiple resources (libraries, embassies, Internet, and personal contacts) to gather and analyze nursing and health care data on a self-selected International Council of Nursing (ICN) member country. At the end of the semester, student's synthesized materials are presented to classmates. A portfolio of materials is submitted and kept on file for multiple uses by faculty and students.
