Abstract:
The study of cytoarchitecture of lamina propria of coecal mucosa in children (newborns, in first childhood) demonstrated peculiarities reorganization of cellular content proportional to the age. Pre-term newborns (born at 7.5 months) coecum showed 3 types of cells:stromal (fibroblasts, fibrocytes and reticulocytes), lymphocytes and eosinophilic granulocytes. In full-term newborns coecum lymphocyte number increases, destroying cells, macrophages and scanty mitotically dividing cells appear. In age cells presented in mucosal lamina propria are more variable. In first weeks after birth plasmic cells appear, reaching maximum of their number by the age of 7 months. Plasmic cells number is irreversibly proportional to eosinophilic granulocytes number that are most numerous (30%) during first postnatal month. The most active reorganization of cellular content of lamina propria of coecal mucosa occurs at the age of 5-6 months. In early childhood accumulation of lymphocytes in mucosa continues. Absolute values of plasmic cells remain unchanged. Eosinophilic granulocytes number increases 3.5 fold, destructive processes in cells become more intense. No mitosis were observed.
