Summary

Posteriorly dislocated crystalline lenses during phacoemulsification occurred in 0.3% of cases. Inexperienced surgeons had a higher incidence, but experienced surgeons encountered more predisposing risk factors. Vitreoretinal procedures improved visual outcomes.
