Background:

  • Capillary hemangiomas are common pediatric head and neck tumors.
  • Intracranial capillary hemangiomas, especially without systemic involvement, are exceptionally rare.

Observation:

  • An 8-year-old boy presented with severe headache and nausea.
  • Imaging revealed a temporal base mass with characteristic enhancement patterns on CT, MRI, and angiography.

Findings:

  • Histological examination confirmed a capillary hemangioma composed of endothelial-lined capillaries.
  • Complete surgical resection of the tumor and attached dura was achieved.

Implications:

  • This case expands the understanding of rare intracranial vascular tumors.
