Findings:

  • Parenteral antibiotic therapy with Augmentin, Gentamycin, and Metronidazole was initiated.
  • The patient showed a complete clinical recovery.
  • Follow-up USG and CT scans confirmed the resolution of the hepatic abscess.

Implications:

  • Conservative antibiotic management can be a viable alternative to invasive procedures for hepatic abscesses in select patients.
  • This case highlights the importance of considering non-invasive treatment options.
  • Effective antibiotic selection is crucial for successful conservative management of hepatic abscesses.
