Abstract:
Results of performance of operations with restoration of the nerves using microtechnique in 60 patients during 15 years (from 1985 till 1999) are presented. Autotransplant was applied in 42 patients in damage of peripheral nerves of upper extremity. Restorational operation on peripheral nerves of lower extremity was performed in 14 patients. Facial nerve was restored in 4 patients using autotransplant. The restorational operation effect is more pronounced on the upper extremity than on the lower one. High efficacy of tibial nerve restoration was noted after conduction of operation on the lower extremity. Good result was achieved in restoration of facial nerve. The period duration from the trauma occurrence till the operation performance constitutes the factor, which determines the result of treatment, especially in young patients.
