Abstract:
The next great age will be influenced heavily by the physical sciences, biological sciences, and nanotechnologies. This article presents case scenarios highlighting the technologic possibilities for the next age. It also presents a potential leadership model for the digital age and beyond. Finally, it provides insight as to how nurse managers can reconcile one of the major dilemmas in nursing--balancing "high touch" with "high tech."
