Summary

Necrosis of bone marrow, a rare and often fatal condition, was diagnosed in four pediatric patients with pancytopenia. Three of these patients with necrotic marrow expired shortly after diagnosis.

  • Three out of the four pediatric patients with bone marrow necrosis expired within one month of diagnosis.

Implications:

  • Bone marrow necrosis in pediatric patients with pancytopenia indicates a critical condition requiring urgent attention.
