Tonic-absence seizures: an underrecognized seizure type

This study identifies a new seizure type in symptomatic generalized epilepsy, called tonic-absence seizures. These seizures combine tonic activity with generalized paroxysmal fast activity and absence activity with generalized slow spike-and-wave.
