Abstract:
How does one define a person's cultural and ethnic identity? Moves are taking place towards common definitions; and understanding these can make health professionals' interventions more appropriate and sensitive. Nowadays a 'colour-blind' approach is seen to reinforce the white, middle-class view. We examine these issues in part three of our series on child protection.
