Safeguarding children: 5. Listening as part of the child-protection process
Janet Riddell-Heaney1, Mary Allott
1Primary Care Trust, Harrow.
Abstract:
Adults cannot always assume that they know what is best for children and young people. Without listening to young clients, it is not possible to meet their needs. Part five of this series considers how health-care professionals can become good listeners to and advocates of those under their care, and looks forward to the forthcoming National Service Framework for children.
