Summary

Persistent Descemet membrane detachment after cataract surgery can impair vision. Surgical repair using suture and air injection successfully improved visual acuity in one case, despite residual corneal haze and edema.

  • Despite visual improvement, persistent corneal haze and mild edema were noted during the 5-month follow-up period.

Implications:

  • Surgical repair of descemets membrane detachment can be effective in restoring vision.
  • Further management may be needed for residual corneal opacity and edema post-repair.
