Abstract:
Our study indicates that sentinel node analysis by frozen section at the time of primary surgical treatment for invasive breast cancer is a reasonable and prudent effort. No cost analysis study is projected in this paper, but the risk/benefit to the patient as well as cost savings would seem to be apparent and significant.
