[Laparoscopic surgeries for achalasia of esophagus]

For achalasia of esophagus (AE) 23 patients were operated, in 14 of them surgical intervention was performed using thoracotomy access, in 9--laparoscopic. Standard laparoscopic method was improved by the authors, allowing to achieve better visualization of the operation field, reduction of operation duration, decrease its traumatism in comparison with this data during performance of operation using thoracotomy access. Patients are enduring laparoscopic operation better, this operation is technically performable, according to most of indexes its exceeds thoracotomy method. There was established, that operative treatment of AE is expedient to conduct in early periods of the disease.
