Summary

Selenium (Se) supplementation in drinking water significantly reduced the incidence of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) in rats by 54.3% when administered before and during dinitrosopiperazine (DNP) exposure. However, selenium therapy after DNP exposure did not significantly alter NPC rates.
