[Spiral implants in phacoemulsification and in secondary implants]

The spiral I.O.L. with a rectangular optic (6 mm x 4.8 mm) is particularly convenient for small incision surgery. A series of rhexis and a series of envelope technique were compared: centering was definitely better after rhexis. In secondary implantation after ICCE the spiral implant could be secured to the posterior face of the iris.
