Abstract:
A 36-year-old woman presenting with erythematous painful tender inflammatory nodular lesions on both knees, shins and ankles is reported. Erythema nodosum (EN) was diagnosed. Further clinical examination revealed hilar lymphadenopathy. A lymph node was removed for histological examination, and a centroblastic non-Hodgkin lymphoma was diagnosed. Remarkably, in this patient EN occurred before the haematological malignancy was detected.
