Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the efficacy of adjuvant combination chemotherapy in patients with invasive bladder cancer.
  • To assess the impact of immunopotentiator (OK-432) and Kampo medicine (Juzentaihoto: TJ-48) on patient survival.
  • To identify prognostic factors influencing survival in bladder cancer patients undergoing cystectomy and chemotherapy.

  • Prospective study of 50 patients with invasive bladder cancer (pT2-4, pN0-2, M0) treated with total cystectomy and adjuvant chemotherapy.

    • Immunopotentiators and Kampo medicine did not demonstrate a significant benefit in this patient cohort.
    • Histologic grade and adequate chemotherapy dosage are key determinants of patient prognosis.
