Abstract:
The evolution of the Internet Domain Name System is summarized. The credentialing requirements with respect to licensure, board certification, and affiliations for obtaining a med.pro address are described. Security issues are discussed, and the mechanisms for obtaining a med.pro are delineated. The relative advantages and disadvantages of the med.pro domain are presented.
