Tuberculosis contact investigation in a rural state

This study evaluated how well Mississippi's TB program identified and treated people who had been in contact with TB patients. The program used a method called the concentric circle approach to find and test these contacts. Over nine years, the program identified 212 new TB cases and found that 5,608 contacts had latent TB infection. Most contacts were evaluated for TB, and many completed treatment. Background:
Tuberculosis transmission remains a public health challenge, particularly in regions with limited resources.
