Unit-based shared governance. Nurturing the vision

Once a unit-based shared governance counselor model is established, the evolution from establishing the structure of shared governance toward the process of initiating goal-oriented activities begins. Nurturing staff participation, empowerment, and effective communication patterns are vital. The author shares strategies to address these issues and accelerate development of the transformational vision of shared governance.
