Thyroid metastases from non-thyroid cancers are rare but can present as nodules. Surgical resection is recommended for isolated cases, despite a generally poor prognosis and short survival times.

  • Preoperative fine-needle aspiration correctly identified metastatic disease in 90% of cases.
