Objective:
To study the chemical constituents from Eucommia ulmoides Oliv.
Methods:
The chemical constituents were isolated and repeatedly purified on silica gel column. They were identified and structurally elucidated by means of physio-chemical constants and spectral analysis.
Results:
Seven compounds were obtained. They were (-)epicatechin (I), catechin (II), n-octacosanoic acid (III), tetracosanoic-2, 3-dihydroxypropylester (IV), rutin (V), chlorogenic acid (VI), and caffeic acid (VII), respectively.
Conclusion:
Four compounds (II, III, IV, V) were isolated from bark of Eucommia ulmoides Oliv for the first time.
