[Septic ovarian vein thrombosis after cesarean section]

Abstract:
Report of a case of septic ovarian vein thrombosis after cesarean section and premature rupture of membranes. The clinical signs were first to suspect the thrombotic complication. Although antibiotics were given immediately after the cesarean section, heparin administration was too late to prevent the right ovarian vein from being occluded by a large thombus. The resection of the occluded ovarian vein led, under the continued administration of heparin per infusion, to a fast rehabilitation of the patient.
