Abstract:
Based on a review of the literature the authors discuss problems of antioxidants which are recently in the foreground of interest of human medicine. In the first part of the paper the authors discuss the importance of antioxidation enzymes and other antioxidants, their correlation with the life span and possibilities of their use in experimental therapy of diseases. The second part of the paper is devoted to the evaluation of antioxidation activity in pathological conditions and the use of antioxidants in the prevention and therapy of various diseases.
