Objective:
To investigate the change of nasal airway resistance (NAR) before and after operation with the treatment of Temperature-controlled radiofrequency (TCRF) for chronic nasal obstruction on nasal endoscope.
Method:
In 125 patients of chronic nasal obstruction, the inferior turbinate volume was reduced with the treatment of TCRF. With anterior rhinomanometry, the NAR before and after operation were measured and compared.
Result:
The NAR decreased obviously after surgery, which indicated a remarkable significance (P < 0.01) on pre-operation and post-operation.
Conclusion:
TCRF operation through nasal endoscope may have some advantages of affirmative effect with subtle wound. It is less painful and easier to recover, which is worth to be generally applied.
