Diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) reveals vasogenic edema in patients with spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage. Regional apparent diffusion coefficient (rADC) values were elevated in areas surrounding the hematoma and in contralateral regions, indicating widespread brain tissue changes.
