Objective:
To study on the chemical constituents of Hovenia acerba.
Methods:
Compounds were isolated with stratography and solvent, and identified by spectroscopy.
Result:
beta-sitoseterol, 3 beta-hydroxy-3-deoxymoronic acid and beta-sitoseteryl-3-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside were obtained from fruit of Hovenia acerba.
Conclusion:
The three compounds were steroids isolated from Hovenia acerba Thunb. for the frist time.
