Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the association between arthritis and on-the-job productivity (presenteeism) in a large financial services corporation.
  • To quantify the productivity loss attributable to arthritis and identify influencing factors.
  • To inform the development of targeted workplace health interventions.

  • A modified Work Limitations Questionnaire (WLQ) was administered to 17,685 employees as part of a Health Risk Appraisal (HRA).
