Comparative accuracy of fixed partial dentures made as one piece castings and joined by solder

Controversy exists concerning marginal adaptation of multiple-unit fixed partial dentures with respect to whether the restoration is cast as a single unit or formed in sections and soldered. This study focused on the question in a laboratory simulation and it was found that one piece castings are superior in marginal adaptation.
