[An improved method of differentiating pneumococcus from alpha-hemolytic streptococcus]

An improved method for differentiation between pneumococcus and alpha-hemolytic streptococcus by the microcolonies morphology is suggested. The method is simple and time-saving, its diagnostic value is higher than that of the original technique, this recommending it for wide use at clinical and field bacteriologic laboratories.
