Objective:
To survey the effects of TNF-alpha and IL-8 in the pathogenesis of allergic rhinitis.
Method:
The serum levels of TNF-alpha and IL-8 in 102 cases of seasonal or non-seasonal allergic rhinitis were detected pre and post specific immunotherapy (SIT), and the results were statistically analyzed.
Result:
The levels of TNF-alpha and IL-8 in experiment group were significant higher than that in the health control. And the levels of TNF-alpha and IL-8 significantly decreased post SIT in the experiment group.
Conclusion:
TNF-alpha and IL-8 play important roles in the pathogenesis of allergic rhinitis.

Asthma: Pathogenesis and Management
Asthma is classified as allergic and non-allergic. Allergens such as dust mites, pollen, and pet dander trigger allergic asthma, while factors like cold air, intense emotions, or exercise can induce non-allergic asthma.
