Abstract:
Most knee injuries are the result of rotational, varus, valgus, hyperextension, or translational forces or a combination of these. The pattern of abnormalities seen on magnetic resonance imaging depends on the mechanism of trauma and the position of the joint at the time of injury. Knee injuries can be classified under two broad categories of direct and indirect injuries.
