Spinach SoHXK1 is a mitochondria-associated hexokinase

Spinach hexokinase 1 (SoHXK1), a type B isozyme, was investigated for its cellular location. Contrary to initial findings, SoHXK1 is localized adjacent to mitochondria, aligning with other type B hexokinases.
