Abstract:
Four visually deprived cats and four controls were tested in reaching for food from a cage. In each trial the animals in the groups responded immediately after unscreening the cage. However, in reaction time of forelimb extension the deprived group showed proportionally fewer responses with shorter reaction time than the control group.
