Autonomic nervous function during whole-body cold exposure before and after cold acclimation

Cold habituation reduces sympathetic nervous system activity and enhances parasympathetic activity during cold exposure. This study shows that acclimation to cold improves cardiovascular autonomic function and stress responses.
