Background:

Ideomotor apraxia is a disorder characterized by difficulty in performing purposeful movements.
Previous research suggests potential cognitive deficits associated with apraxia, but specific learning impairments require further investigation.

Purpose of the Study:

To investigate learning capabilities in patients with ideomotor apraxia compared to non-apraxic and control groups.
To determine if ideomotor apraxia is associated with deficits in specific learning tasks, including gesture, motor skill, and spatial memory.

Main Methods:

A comparative study involving five groups: patients with ideomotor apraxia (LBD+) and non-apraxic patients, alongside normal control subjects.
Participants completed three distinct learning tasks: gesture learning, motor skill learning, and the Corsi block-tapping supra-span task.
