Abstract:
Evidence is presented that cells transformed by CMV and HSV-1 express virus-associated antigens on the cell surface. The finding that hyper-immune antivirus sera block cellular immunity in vitro may explain why virus-immunized hosts have thus far not been found to reject isografts of these cells.
