Carcinosarcoma of the gallbladder.

Summary

Gallbladder carcinosarcoma is a rare cancer. This case report details a patient successfully treated with gallbladder-confined tumor removal via simple cholecystectomy.

Carcinosarcoma is a rare malignant neoplasm characterized by the simultaneous occurrence of carcinomatous and sarcomatous elements.
Gallbladder neoplasms are infrequent, with carcinosarcoma representing a particularly uncommon subtype.

Observation:

A case of gallbladder carcinosarcoma is presented.
The tumor was diagnosed and confined solely to the gallbladder.

Findings:

The patient underwent a simple cholecystectomy for the treatment of the gallbladder carcinosarcoma.
The surgical management was based on the tumor's localized nature.

Implications:

This case highlights the importance of considering rare diagnoses in gallbladder pathology.
