Summary

Functionalizing single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) with perfluorinated derivatives significantly enhances the mechanical properties of medium density polyethylene (MDPE) composites. The new F-SWNT-C(11)F(x)H(y) derivative boosted tensile strength by 52%.
