Abstract:
A 63-year-old man with recurrent rectal carcinoma was treated with high-dose-rate intraluminal brachytherapy (6 Gy x 4). After treatment, anal pain and bleeding were greatly improved. He died as a result of liver metastasis, but he was able to evacuate the bowels until death. bowels until death.
