Microbiological contamination during transgastric and transvaginal endoscopic techniques

Natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery (NOTES) shows promise, but contamination risks persist. Transvaginal approaches appear safer than transgastric routes, with less bacterial contamination and sepsis in this study.
