Molecular resonance (MRT) offers a less damaging and less painful alternative for pediatric tonsillectomy compared to coblation (CAT). This innovative technique reduces thermal injury and improves postoperative recovery, making it a promising option for children.

- Patients undergoing MRT demonstrated a quicker return to a normal diet and weight gain post-surgery. One patient in the CAT group required readmission for delayed bleeding.
Conclusions:
- Molecular resonance technology (MRT) is associated with significantly reduced histopathologic thermal injury and lower pain scores in pediatric tonsillectomy when compared to coblation (CAT).
- MRT appears to be a safer and more effective modality for pediatric tonsillectomy.
- Further research is recommended to corroborate these findings.
