Polymorphisms in IL4 and iLARA confer susceptibility to asthma

Genetic variants in the interleukin-4 (IL-4) gene promoter are strongly associated with asthma in Iranian patients. These IL-4 gene polymorphisms and their haplotypes correlate with higher total serum immunoglobulin E (IgE) levels.
