Abstract:
A case presentation of primary meningococcal arthritis. The patient, a four-year and four-month old boy was admitted with fever, pain in the left shoulder and adenitis. The patient received relevant treatment with penicillin and arthroscopic irrigation. The patient recovered completely. Neisseria meningitidis was isolated from the shoulder's synovial fluid.
