This study found no significant difference in allergic rhinitis prevalence between patients with chronic suppurative otitis media (CSOM) and controls. Further research is needed to understand the complex relationship between allergies and CSOM development.

- The study did not establish a significant association between allergic rhinitis and the presence of CSOM in this cohort.
- The intermittent nature of allergies and other factors may complicate the understanding of CSOM pathogenesis.
