Prepubertal urinary estrogen excretion and its relationship with pubertal timing

Prepubertal estrogen levels correlate with pubertal growth duration in both sexes. Higher estrogen metabolites in girls predict earlier breast development and menarche, but do not impact male sexual maturation.
